Five teams, including India, are set to don ‘home’ and ‘away’ kits while participating in the ICC World Cup 2019 starting May 30. However, while teams like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and South Africa have already revealed their ‘away’ jerseys that are contrasting to their regular ones, Team India is yet to unveil theirs. While England and Pakistan have been allowed to wear the same jerseys throughout the tournament as ‘home’ colours, Australia, New Zealand and the West Indies can wear their regular jerseys since their colours are unique.
Speculation is rife on India’s ‘away’ jersey will look like since it has been reported that it will be an orange-dominated kit. The fact that India’s national politics has now seen a surge of saffron has also made people curious about the dominance of orange in the cricket field as well.
